NEWPORT COUNTY AFC SUPPORTERS TRUST: ELECTION OF MEMBERS TO THE TRUST BOARD 2017-Updated Information


Following yesterday’s details for Trust Members requiring a postal or proxy vote please find details below of the full election timetable. 

In order to allow as many Trust members as possible to vote in person there will be the opportunity to vote at both the Lincoln and Exeter home games. 

In the next few days we will confirm opening times and arrangements for these dates and also confirm the details for the election count and announcement of the election results following the 3rd round FA Cup Draw yesterday. 

Please note that yesterday’s communication regarding postal voting provided a link to the form to request a postal vote and not to obtain a ballot form. On receipt of a request from an existing member we will send out a unique ballot paper. Once the ballot paper has been received please follow the instructions issued yesterday for submitting a postal or proxy vote. We apologise for any confusion caused by the erroneous title on the link yesterday.

Please note once you have had a postal vote issued you will not be able to vote in person on polling day. Postal Votes will be issued to the address recorded on the membership database. Postal votes must be returned to the official return address by 5.00 p.m. on Monday 1st January either by post or by hand. Any postal ballot papers received after that date will be rejected. Postal votes will be issued in the week beginning 17th December at the latest. 

The cost of postal voting is significant for the club as a result please only request a postal vote if you really need one due to the time and cost involved in issuing them.

25 November - Closing date for completion of edited version of Supporting Statements 

 

26 November - Publication of List of Candidates and details 

 

22 November - Closing date for New/Renewed Trust Members to be eligible to vote 

 

15th December - Closing date for applications for Postal and Proxy Votes 

 

23rd December and 1ST January - Polling Station Opening Dates 

 

1st January - Closing date for return of Postal Votes 

 

6th January - Election Count* 

 

6th January - Announcement of Election Results*
