STATEMENT: Yeovil Town Away

The Football Association has written to the Club following an incident at the away game at Yeovil Town where an object was thrown on to the field of play.

The Club having been notified formally of the individual who was identified through CCTV and spoken to by Avon and Somerset Police have  today moved quickly to put a ban in place . This will be reviewed in light of any external action taken by the Authorities.

The Club, as a result of the incident, is in the midst of providing a response to The FA who will then determine whether any disciplinary action should be taken against the club.

As a supporters' owned club It is deeply disappointing to have received such a letter but does recognise the vast majority of supporters consistently act in an exemplary manner both home and away.

Unfortunately the Club’s good name has been tarnished with this incident and it is regrettable we have to write to all supporters’ reminding them that this type of behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

Any person found acting in such a manner will receive a ban from the Club.

The topic will feature on this week's supporters’ partnership meeting, which takes place on Thursday 14th April.
