Trust Weekly News - 6th November

This is the fourth of our weekly news communications. Hope you all enjoy it. Thank you Thank you to those members that attended the constitution meeting last Friday. This is covered in a little more detail below, and in addition you can now find the slides used on the night and the minutes from the meeting on both the Club and Trust websites. Shares - New Constitution As outlined in our share documentation, in order to issue community shares an amended constitution needed to be passed. Members were able to vote on line, by proxy and then in person at the meeting held last Friday (30th October 2015). As mentioned above the material used at the meeting and the minutes are now up on the respective websites (see below). The motion of moving to the amended constitution was passed marking an important part of the procedural changes required. We are working behind the scenes to prepare the share certificates and will make an announcement on their issue soon. Plan - Football league Submission The submission was sent to the Football League this week as planned. We have had a few questions and will be responding to those as soon as possible. We intend to share the highlights of the submission when we have the first of our open meetings later this month. Benefits Package - Launch We mentioned in last weeks newsletter that we have arranged a launch of our Benefits and Rewards Scheme on Thursday 12th November 2015 at 7.30pm in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade. There will also be an opportunity to meet the management team with John Sheridan, Warren Feeney and Michael Flynn being available to answer any questions. The event is free and the bar will be open. You may notice the date coincides with the opening of Friars Walk shopping centre so hopefully we have provided a plausible excuse for those who were struggling….. Student Ticket Prices This week saw the return of the student ticket prices, for those in full-time education. Students will now be able to purchase tickets for home league fixtures for as little as £11, when buying in advance. With the University pretty much on our doorstep we are keen to develop the relationship and this is a step towards that ambition. Club Shop Please continue to support the shop by visiting in person or online. There are a range of products on sale and hopefully something for everyone. FA Cup Our FA Cup First Round tie against Brackley Town on Sunday 8thNovember 2015 at 2pm will now be ALL TICKET. To date we have sold over 400 tickets. The Club’s Ticket Office will be open between 10am-12pm this Saturday 7th November 2015 for fans to buy tickets ahead of Sunday’s fixture. Date for your diary We have mentioned previously our intention to hold an open meeting for members. We are putting plans in place for this to happen at the end of the month. It is likely to be 27th November 2015. We will update as soon as we have firmed up the plans. Well Done Well done to the DSA who held a successful Halloween party that was enjoyed by all who attended. Players joined the party which made it a great occasion. Likewise to the Smile Council who recently handed over a cheque for £1K to the junior academy. Great effort and much appreciated. Thank you for the continued support and good luck to the team on Sunday. TRUST BOARD
