NEWPORT COUNTY AFC SUPPORTERS’ TRUST BOARD STATEMENT

Ahead of this week’s Trust AGM and Open Meeting for supporters, the full Trust Board met last week for an inclusive and informative meeting.

All five recently-elected Board members – Ryan Courtney, Colin Faulkner, Bob Herrin, Rob Santrwis and Kevin Ward – played a full part in the meeting.

The meeting heard reports from the first team manager and the club chief executive.

The club’s current financial situation was discussed at length. Other issues discussed included the playing budget and ticket prices for next season, the Academy, County in the Community, relationships with the WRU, how more revenue can be generated via the Trust model, and the future structure of the Trust and Club Boards following the elections.

New Board members were particularly keen to place on record their thanks for the support shown to them during the elections.

While some information inevitably remains confidential, much of what was discussed at last week’s Board meeting will be shared with Trust members and supporters at Rodney Parade on Thursday night.

The AGM will take place in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade between 7.00pm -7.30pm and will be followed by an Open Supporters Meeting from 7.30pm – 9.00pm.  

Please note that access to the AGM will be for Trust Members who registered prior to the 31st January, 2018 only.  Trust Members will be required to present ID upon entry.

Non-Trust Members will be able to attend the Open Supporters Meeting upon the conclusion of the AGM at 7.30pm.
